The Ombudsman acts as the conflict resolution and appeal authority for complaints from a discontented Member related to the day to day activities of PHPIO. He/She acts independently of the Board reporting only to the President of PHPIO. The role of the Ombudsman is not to overrule decisions rendered by the Certification Council and/or Discipline and Professional Practice Committee.
